RESOLUTION NO. 7752(CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO EXECUTE
RIGHT-OF-WAY CERTIFICATIONS FOR FEDERAL-AID PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Administration requires
that the City submit a Right-of-Way certification providing
assurance that all rights-of-way necessary for the project have
been or will be acquired and that such rights-of-way were
acquired in accordance with the applicable federal procedures
before federal-aid construction proj ects may be advertised for
construction; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agencies program Manual provides
that the City Council adopt a resolution giving responsible City
officials authority to execute right-of-way certifications on
behalf of the city; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has the experience and
information necessary to provide the required certifications,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The city Engineer is hereby authorized to
execute Right-of-Way Certifications on behalf of the city of
Santa Monica on federal-aid projects.

SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
