A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE GUTTERS AND STREET
RESURFACING ON VARIOUS CITY STREETS ALL WITHIN THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica, on the
loth day of January, 1989, adopted Resolution No. 7743 (CCS) setting a
public hearing; and
WHEREAS, written notices of said improvements have been given
in the manner required by law; and
WHEREAS, any and all written objections and protests to the
work or the extent of the district to be assessed were heard and
considered by the city council,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The public convenience and necessity requires the
construction of concrete gutters and street resurfacing along:
Michigan Avenue, from Lincoln Boulevard to 14th street:
strand Street, from Main street to 4th street;
Twentieth Street, from Arizona Avenue to Freeway;
Intersection of Main Street and pico Boulevard;
Intersection of Main Street and Ocean Park Boulevard; and
Intersection of Fourth Street and Pico Boulevard,
all within the City of Santa Monica.

SECTION 2 .
All protests and obj ections of every kind and
nature to the construction of concrete gutters and the street
resurfacing along:
Michigan Avenue, from Lincoln Boulevard to 14th street;
Strand Street, from Main street to 4th Street;
Twentieth street, from Arizona Avenue to Freeway;
Intersection of Main street and Pi co Boulevard;
Intersection of Main street and Ocean Park Boulevard; and
Intersection of Fourth street and pico Boulevard,
as described in Section 1, all within the City of Santa Monica, be,
and the same and are hereby, overruled and denied.
SECTION 3. Pursuant to streets and Highways Code section 5880,
the street Superintendent is directed to commence the construction of
concrete gutters and street resurfacing above-described after a sixty
(60) day period wherever the property owners have not started the
gutter construction and street resurfacing themselves.
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
