A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF A CERTAIN
ALLEY KNOWN AS TWENTY -SECOND COURT, BETWEEN
ARIZONA AVENUE AND SANTA MONICA BOULEVARD, IN
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica
hereby declares its intention to order the vacation of that
portion of Twenty-Second Court described as follows: a strip of
land twenty feet in width, the southwesterly boundary of which is
the northeasterly boundary of Lots 17 through 18 and the
northernmost twenty feet of the northeasterly boundary of Lot 16
of Tract No. 4618 in the City of Santa Monica, State of
california, as per map recorded in Book 49, Page 80 of Maps, in
the Official Records of the County Recorder of said County.
SECTION 2 .
The City Council of the City of Santa
Monica, in vacating said portion of said Twenty-Second Court,
intends to reserve and except from said vacation an easement the
extent of which spans the entire width and length of said Court
intended to be vacated, for the purpose of constructing,
maintaining, operating, replacing, removing and renewing all
sanitary sewers, water mains and other public utility facilities
and appurtenant structures.

Santa Monica finds that public convenience and necessity require
such reservation.
SECTION 3 .
The city Council of the City of Santa
Monica, in vacating the above-mentioned portion of Twenty-Second
Court, elects to proceed under and in accordance with the
provisions of the Public streets, Highways and service Easements
Vacation Law, streets and Highways Code Section 8300 et seq.
SECTION 4. The hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m. of the 8th day
of March, 1988, in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, Santa
Monica, California, be and the same hereby is fixed as the time
and place when and where all persons interested in or objecting
to the proposed vacation may appear before the city Council and
offer evidence in relation thereto.
SECTION 5. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of
Santa Monica hereby is directed to cause Notices of Street
Vacation to be posted as required by street and Highways Code
Section 8323.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of
this ReSOlution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
