A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
PORTION OF A CERTAIN ALLEY KNOWN AS TWENTY-
SECOND COURT, BETWEEN ARIZONA AVENUE AND
SANTA MONICA BOULEVARD, IN THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA, CALIFORNIA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the city Council of the City of Santa
Monica, having heard the evidence offered in relation to the
proposed vacation of that portion of Twenty-Second Court
described as follows: a strip of land twenty feet in width, the
southwesterly boundary of which is the northeasterly boundary of
Lots 17 through 18 and the northernmost twenty feet of the
northeasterly boundary of Lot 16 of Tract No. 4618 in the City of
santa Monica, State of California, as per map recorded in Book
49, Page 80 of Maps, in the Official Records of the County
Recorder of said County, hereby finds from all of the evidence
submitted that the portion of the alley above referred to and
proposed to be vacated by Resolution No. 7551(CCS) is unnecessary
for present or prospective street purposes and the vacation is
consistent with the General Plan of the City of Santa Monica.
For full particulars, reference hereby is made to Resolution No.
7551(CCS) .
SECTION 2 .
The City Council of the City of Santa
Monica, in vacating said portion of said Twenty-Second Court,

'intends to reserve and except from said vacation an easement the
extent of which spans the entire width and length of said Court
intended to be vacated, for the purpose of constructing,
maintaining, operating, replacing, removing, and renewing all
sanitary sewers, water mains, and other public utility facilities
and appurtenant structures.
The ci ty Council of the City of
Santa Monica finds that public convenience and necessity require
such reservation.
SECTION 3. The portion of Twenty-Second Court as shown
on the attached Drawing No. 4412 on file in the Office of the
city Engineer is hereby vacated.
SECTION 4.
Pursuant to Streets and Highways Code
Section 8325, the City Clerk shall also cause a copy of this
Resolution to be recorded in the office of the county Recorder of
the County of Los Angeles. Upon such recording, the vacation
shall be complete.
SECTION 5. The city Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
