A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING PREFERENTIAL PARKING
ZONE TT AND AMENDING RESOLUTION NUMBER 9344 (CCS) BY
REPLACING EXHIBIT A
WHEREAS, the Parking and Traffic Engineer has received a petition requesting
the establishment of a preferential parking zone, and
WHEREAS, the petition has been verified to be Signed by reSidents living In two-
thirds of the dwelling units comprising not less than fifty percent (50%) of the developed
frontage of the proposed preferentIal parking zone, and
WHEREAS, the Parking and Traffic Engineer has undertaken such studies and
surveys deemed necessary to determine whether a preferential parking zone should be
designated In the above area, and
WHEREAS, the Planning DIVISion has prepared the reqUired Initial Study and
Negative Declaration, and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds that the proposed area meets the
designation criteria set forth In MunicIpal Code Section 3 08 040,
NOW THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS
Section 1 Preferential Parking Zone TT IS hereby established The regulations
for Preferential Parking Zone TT are as follows
(a) The follOWing named and desCribed streets Within the City
shall constitute Preferential Parking Zone TT California
Avenue between 22nd and 23rd Streets
(b) No vehicle shall be parked or stopped adjacent to any curb
In Preferential Parking Zone TT for more than two hours
between the hours of 9 00 a m and 900 pm, dally, except
by permit

(c) The annual fee for each permit Issued for Preferential
Parking Zone W shall be $1500 per permit, or such other
fee as may be establIshed from time to time by resolution of
the City Council
Section 2 Exhibit A to Resolution 9344 Number 9344 (CCS) IS deleted In Its
entirety and replaced by Exhibit A attached to this Resolution
Section 3 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be In full force and effect.

(b) No vehicle shall be parked or stopped adjacent to any curb in Preferential
Parking Zone MM for more than two hours between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and
9:00 p.m. daily.
Zone W
(a) The follOWing named and desCribed streets within the City shall constitute
Preferential Parking Zone W
The area bounded by Santa MOnica Boulevard, Centlnela Avenue,
Colorado Avenue and Yale Street (excluding Yale Street)
(b) No vehicle shall be parked or stopped adaJacent to any curb on Franklin Street,
on Broadway between Centlnela Avenue and Berkeley Street, or on Colorado between
Centlnela Avenue and Berkeley Street, at any time except that two-hour parking shall
be permitted from 800 a.m. to 500 pm. along the Franklin Street frontage of any
religiOUS or educational facIlity operating In this Zone
(c) No vehicle shall be parked or stopped adjacent to any other curb In Preferential
Parking Zone VV for more than two hours between the hours of 8 00 a m and 5 00
P m 1 Monday through Friday, and no vehicle shall be parked or stopped adjacent to
any curb between the hours of 500 pm and 800 a m Monday through Friday, or
anytime, Saturday and Sunday
(d) These regulations shall become effective on each street Within the named and
descnbed Zone follOWing receipt and verification of petitions pursuant to Santa
Monica MUniCipal Code Section 308050 and posting of slgnage to that effect by
the TraffiC Operations DIVISion
