RESOLUTION NO 9412
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA SETIING A
FEE STRUCTURE FOR DEPOSIT OF REFUSE
AND YARD WASTE BY THE PUBLIC,
AND LICENSED PRIVATE HAULERS
AT THE CITY'S TRANSFER STATION
WHEREAS, MUniCipal Code Section 5223(a) allows fees for depOSiting refuse
at the City refuse transfer station to be set by ResolutIon; and
WHEREAS, the Director of EnVironmental & Public Works Management may
determine usage of said transfer station, and
WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Operations Manager determines dally transfer station
usage by refuse hauling vehicles and bases this deCISion on available capacity and
the order In which
requests are receIved,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS
SECTION 1 The fees for public usage of the City refuse transfer station by the
reSidential and commercIal public Within the City and contractors and landscapers

and businesses shall be as follows
REFUSE
YARD WASTE (PURE)
Charge per ton $53.00 $39 00
MInimum charge 1800 1300
Tires by the load $16500 a ton
Small tires 2 00 each
Large tires 5 00 each
Pull off charge 1000
Hard to handle Items mixed With trash 25% surcharge
White goods wI refrigerants $20 each Item
The transfer statIon accepts scrap metal and clean cardboard at no charge
SECTION 2 The fees for licensed private refuse haulers to deposit refuse at
the City refuse transfer station shall be Fifty-Three Dollars ($5300) per ton
SECTION 3 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of thiS Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be In full force and effect
