A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING THE HOLDING OF A PARADE ON SEPTEMBER 19, 1998, ON
A ROUTE OTHER THAN THE OFFICIAL CITY PARADE ROUTE
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 4 08 580 of the Santa Monica MUnicipal Code,
the City Council may authOrize a parade route as set forth herein,
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1 That on September 19, 1998, at 10 00 a m participants In the
U.S Constitution Day Parade are authOrized to conduct a parade along the follOWing
route
Staging to take place In the southbound lane of Main Street between Colorado
and the "Chain Reaction" sculpture north of the CIVIC AuditOrium and proceeding south
on Main Street, west on Marine Street, across Neilson Way, north on Barnard Way to
dIsband In the south beach parking lot (2060 lot) Parade partiCipants Will obey all
traffiC rules and regulations as they walk on the Sidewalk to the California Hentage
Museum for lunch

SECTION 3 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be In full force and effect
APPROVED AS TO FORM.
