RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR THE RECEIPT OF GRANT
FUNDING FOR THE SANTA MONICA SMART CORRIDOR EXTENSION
ENHANCEMENT AND TRANSIT PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT AND
PRIORITY SYSTEMS PROJECTS
WHEREAS, The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority
("MTA") , has approved a one time appropriation of Grant Funding for Fiscal Year 1995,
and
WHEREAS. the MTA conditions the use of said mOnies In accordance With their
policies,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
SECTION 1 The City Council of the City of Santa MonIca hereby authOrizes
the City Manager to execute a Memorandum of Understanding With the MTA for the
receIpt of Grant Fundmg for the Santa MOnica Smart Corrrdor ExtenSIon Enhancement
and TranSit Preferential Treatment and PriOrity Systems ProJects
SECTION 2 The City Engineer shall forward a certified copy of thiS resolution
to the MT A, for processing
SECTION 3 The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of thIS Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be In full force and effect
