A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
CERTIFYING THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
ON THE SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL POOL REPLACEMENT PROJECT AT 1900
PIca BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, a Notice of Preparation of an Environmental Impact Report was
Issued In January 1998, and
WHEREAS, a NotIce of CompletIon of a Draft Environmental Impact Report was
published In September, 1998, In compliance with the California Environmental Quality
Act and the City of Santa MOnica CEQA GUidelines, and
WHEREAS, the Draft Environmental Impact Report was Circulated for a 45-day
penod,and
WHEREAS, In November, 1998, the Final EnVironmental Impact Report was
publIshed, and
WH EREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed and conSidered the
contents of the Final EIR In It'S declslon-makmg process, and
WHEREAS, m November, 1998 the Plannmg Commission recommended

certification of the Final EIR, and
WHEREAS, on December 15, 1998, the City Council, as Lead City Agency,
reviewed the Final Environmental Impact Report,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1 The City Council has reviewed and considered the mformatlon
contained In the Final Environmental Impact Report on the Santa MOnica MUnicipal
Pool Replacement project located at 1900 P,CO Boulevard prior to actmg on the project
SECTION 2 The City Council certifies that the environmental review for the
proJect was conducted In full compliance with State and City CEQA GUidelines, that
there was adequate public review of the Draft Environmental Impact Report, that It has
conSidered all comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Report and responses to
comments, that the Fmal Environmental Impact Report adequately discusses all
Significant environmental issues, that the Final Environmental Impact Report reflects the
Independent Judgement and analYSIS of the City, and that the City Council has
conSidered the contents of the Final Environmental Impact Report m ItS declslon-
making process
SECTION 3 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of thiS Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be In full force and effect
