A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RE-ESTABLlSHING VARIOUS
PREFERENTIAL PARKING ZONES
WHEREAS, the City of Santa MOnica has changed the process for designating
preferential parking zones, and,
WHEREAS, preferential parkmg zones can be designated by resolution, and,
WHEREAS, It IS appropnate to delete eXisting sections of the Santa MOnica MunIcIpal
Code desIgnating preferenllal parking zones, and re-deslgnate the zones by resolution,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
Section 1 The preferential parking zones listed on Exhibit A (Preferential Parking Zones)
are hereby established The regulations applIcable to the Preferential Parking Zones are
as follows
(a) The named and descnbed streets or areas listed on Exhibit A and
within the City shall constitute a Preferential Parking Zone
(b) No vehicle shall be parked or stopped adjacent to any curb In any
Preferential Parking Zone listed on ExhibIt A dunng the hours prohibited In Exhibit
A Without a permit Issued and displayed In accordance With Chapter 308 of the
Santa Monica MunicIpal Code
(c) Any vehicle parked or stopped Without a permit, when required, may
be removed from the street by any police officer
(d) The annual (12 months) fee for each permit Issued for any
Preferential Parking Zone shall be $15 00 per permit, or as previously adopted and
as listed on Exhibit A, or such other fee as may be established from time to time
by resolution of the City Council

Section 2 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth
and thereafter the same shall be m full force and effect
