A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA CHANGING
THE PLACE FOR THE HOLDING
OF CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
WHEREAS, the City Council Chambers Will be undergOing renovations which Will
make It Impossible to hold City Council meetings In the CouncIl Chambers after December
8,1998,and
WHEREAS, City Charter Section 613 requires the City Council to adopt an
ordinance or resolution If It wishes to change the meeting place of the City Council from
the Council Chambers to another location,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS'
SECTION 1 Until refurbishment of the City Council Chambers IS completed, all
meetings of the City Council held after December 8, 1998, shall be held In the audltonum
of the Santa MOnica Main Library located at 1343 6th Street, Santa MOnica, California
Meetings Will continue to begin at 6 15 P m for closed sessions and at 7 00 P m for public
sessions

SECTION 2 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be In full force and effect
