A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION
TO FUND THE PROCUREMENT OF AN ELECTRIC SHUTTLE VEHICLE
WHEREAS, Chapter 659, Statutes of 1997 (58 368, Peace), Included
appropnatlons from the Petroleum Violation Escrow Account to the California Energy
Commission for legislatIVely mandated proJects, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 659, Statutes of 1997, requires that such legislatively
mandated projects be allocated by the California Energy Commission to the reCipients, and
WHEREAS, the CIty of Santa MOnica Wishes to Implement a project to procure a
new electnc shuttle vehicle to expand the City's electnc vehicle fleet,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1 The City Manager IS authonzed to execute an agreement With the
California Energy Commission and all other necessary documents to Implement and carry
out the purpose of thiS resolution
SECTION 2 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoptIon of the Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be In full force and effect
