A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON MAY 28, 1996 TO HEAR
ANY PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO THE CONFIRMATION OF
ASSESSMENT OF COSTS FOR CONCRETE GUTTER CONSTRUCTION I
STREET RESURFACING AND THE REPAIR OF DAMAGED SIDEWALKS,
DRIVEWAYS AND CURBS, AND THE REMOVAL OF DAMAGED PARKWAY
PAVINGS AND APPURTENANT WORK ON VARIOUS CITY STREETS IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY1994-95 STREET RESURFACING PROGRAM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Superintendent of Streets wlll file a report
of work pursuant to Sectlon 5882 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of Californla, relating to the constructlon of certain
lmprovements completed on:

SECTION 2. Pursuant to Sectlon 5870 et. seq. of said Code, the
City Council does hereby order and declare that on the 28th day of
May, 1996 at 6:30 p.m , ln the City Councll Chambers of City Hall,
1685 Main Street, Santa Monica, California 90401, it will hear and
pass upon the report by the Superintendent of Streets, of the cost
of lmprovements together with any objectlons or protests, if any,
which may be ralsed by any property owner subJect to an assessment
for the cost of such improvements and by any other interested
persons.
SECTION 3. All protests or objectlons must be in writing and
flled wlth the City Clerk on or before the time set for the hearing
of the protests and obJections.
SECTION 4
The City Clerk is hereby dlrected to mail notices,
pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.9, in the manner and form
prescribed by law, of the cost of improvement and of the adoption
of this Resolution to all persons owning commercial, industrial, or
resldential real property ln the hereinbefore descrlbed assessment

district whose names and addresses appear on the last equalized
assessment roll for the City taxes or as known to the City Clerk.
SECTION 5.
The City Clerk is directed to publish this
Resolution, in accordance with Government Code Section 6066, in The
Outlook once a week for two weeks wlth at least five days
interven~ng between the first date and the second date of
publication. The first publication is to be made not less than 45
days prlor to the date of the above public hearing.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
thlS Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
