A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA REVISING CURRENT
FEES RATE AND SETTING NEW FEES FOR
FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY VARIOUS
CITY DEPARTMENTS
WHEREAS, lt lS the POllCY of the Clty of Santa MOTI1Ca to
charge for the fully allowable costs of serVlces provlded by the
Clty Staff when such serVlces benefit indlvidual users rather
than members of the communlty as a whole; and
WHEREAS, the Clty deslres to reVlse varlOUS eXlstlng fees
charged by the City's Environnental and Public Works Management
Department, Communlty and Cultural SerVlces Department, and Cable
TeleVlslon Dlvlslon; and
WHEREAS, Section 2 72.010 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code
(tEe Cone) authorlzes the City to establish and set the amouct of
user fees or fees for serVlces provlded to or for the beneflt of
particular lndlviduals rather than the general publlC including,
but not 1181ted to fees for recreatlon, youth, and sports
programs; and

WHEREAS, the Section 2.72 020 of the Code allows such user
fees or fees for serVlces to be set by ordlnance, by a resolution
adopted by the City Councll (Council) or by any other ~eans
authOY1Zed by law; and
WHEREAS, Munlclpal Code Sectlon 7.02.110 authorlzes the
Councll ~o set by resolutlon =ees for Cemetery and Mausoleum
Services; and
WHEREAS, Resolutlon No 7771 (CCS) sets the levels for Cable
Divlslon charges for vldeo productlon services; and
WHEREAS, Sectlon 3 (I) of Resolutlon No. 9042 (CCS) sets fee
levels for CREST, Elementary, and Mlddle School Program fees
charged by the City'S Communlty and Cultural SerVlce Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The fee schedule for property and serVlces at
Woodlawn Cerretery and Mausoleum are establlshed as set forth ln
Attachment A of thlS resolutlon. ThlS section supersedes all
preVlOUS resolutlons establlshlng fees for Cemetery and Mausoleum
serVlces
SECTION 2
Section 3 of Resolutlon Number 9042 is hereby

CREST, Elementary, and Mlddle School programs as set forth ln

SECTION 3. Resolution No. 7771 (CCS) lS hereby amended
establlshlng new fees and revising eXlstlng fees as set forth In
Attachment C.
SECTION 4. Fee for adult use of the Memorlal Park Gymnaslum
are hereby establlshed as set forth in Attachment D.
SEC?ION 5
The fees set forth ln thlS resolutlon shall
become effective July 1,1997.
SECTION 6 The Clty Cle~k shall certlfy to the adoptlon of
this resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
ln full force and effect.
