A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA URGING SUPPORT
FOR ADDITIONAL COURT FACILITIES IN
SANTA MONICA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the C1ty of Santa Monica
1S aware of the important role of courts 1n this C1tYi and,
WHEREAS, the eX1stlng court facil1t1es in th1S
city are congested with the backlog of cases, Wh1Ch 1S
1n1ffilcal to the publlc lnterestsi and,
WHEREAS, during the past year the City of Santa
Monica has felt an 1ncreasing need for additional court
facilit1es, mak1ng poss1ble the better del1very of court
serV1ces.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA:
SECTION 1. That the Clty Council hereby declares its
support for additional court facilitles for the purpose of
provid1ng expeditious court services for the general publ1c.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoptlon of this resolut1on and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be 1n full force and effect.
