A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR 1974 FEDERAL GRANT
FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has enacted Public Law 93-154,
Emergency Medical Services Act of 1973 (Section 1204) with funds
to State of California and its pol itical subdivisions for acquir-
ing medical emergency equipment and providing for public safety
salaries for emergency medical purposes, and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has been delegated the responsibility
for the administration of the program within the state, setting
up necessary procedures governing application for local agencies
under the program; and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles, must provide to the Federal Government
a prior plan of expenditures of all local jurisdiction for
prOjects to be included In the 1974-75 fiscal year allotment;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA,
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section I
That the City Council hereby authorizes application
for federal grant funds under Public Law 93-154,
Emergency Medical Services Act of 1973 (Section 1204)
Section 2. That the City Council certifies that the projects
listed and attached hereto and made a part hereof
are in accordance with Pub] ic Law 93-154, Emergency
Medical Services Act of 1973 (Section 1204).
Section 3. That the City Council authorizes the mayor and the
city manager to negotiate and execute the necessary
contract documents for participation under Publ ic Law
No. 93-154, Emergency Medical Services Act of 1973
(Sect i on 1204).

Section 4
That the City Council In accepting the grant award
ensures commitment of a local budgetary share for
continuing emergency medical services for the City
of Santa Monica, California, providing sufficient
seed money is made available.
Section 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
this 16th day of July
