R-4547 dIrl- 'w e RESOLUTION NO. 4547 (CCS) (CITY COUNCIL SERIES) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF NINE SIREN-LIGHT SIYITCHING UNITS, AND WAIVE CALL FOR BIDS. {iHEREAS, the Police Department has a requirement for nine siren-light switching units and; WHEREAS, the City has researched the market and received bids from three bidders, namely R. T. Crossman Company, George Cake Company and Dunbar-Nunn Corporation. NOW THERFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager is authorized to purchase the required switching units without calling for further formal bids, from R. T. Crossman Company. SECTION 2. The City Council finds that the purchase of the required switching units is of necessity to the City and that to advertise formally for bids would he to no avail and would cause unnecessary expense and delay. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
