RESOLUTION NO. 4549 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING
TRANSFER OF FUNDS AND WAIVING CALL FOR
BIDS, PERTAINING TO THE ANNUAL REPORT.
WHEREAS, the annual report of the City of Santa
Monica for the fiscal year 1973-74 must be published; and,
WHEREAS, the City has canvassed known printers
and received bids from three (3) bidders, namely Breene
Lithograph, Thomas Lithograph and Scott & Scott.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Seven Hundred ($700.00) Dollars
be transferred from unappropriated surplus to Account No.
10-8271-602 to provide additional required funds for 10,000
copies of the annual report for the fiscal year 1973-74 utilizing
a four-color process.
SECTION 2. The City Council finds that the printing
of the annual report is of necessity to the City and that
to advertise formally for bids would be to no avail and would
cause unnecessary expense and delay.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is authorized to
contract for the printing of 10,000 copies of the annual
report of the City of Santa Monica for the fiscal year 1973-74
without calling for further formal bids, from Breene Lithograph.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
