A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A LAND EXCHANGE AGREEMENT
WITH KEW INVESTMENT ENTERPRISES, INC.
WHEREAS, the C~ty of Santa Monica ~s the owner of
certa~n real property in the City of Santa Mon1ca; and
WHEREAS, Kew Investment Enterpr~ses, Inc. ~s the
owner of certa1n contiguous real property 1n the C~ty of Santa
Monica; and
WHEREAS, ~t ~s to the advantage to the C~ty of Santa
Mon~ca to acquire the real property owned by Kew Investment
Enterpr~ses, Inc. for the purposes of street, traffic and
eng~neer~ng control and lt ~s to the advantage of Kew Investment
Enterpr~ses, Inc. to acqu~re the real property owned by the
C~ty of Santa Mon~ca for development purposes; and
WHEREAS, the value of both parcels of real property
~s substant~ally comparable,
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The C~ty Manager ~s authorized to
execute on behalf of the City of Santa Monlca a land exchange
agreement between the City and Kew Investment Enterprises, Inc.
to effect and exchange of contiguous parcels of real property
between said parties.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify
to the adopt~on of th~s Resolution and thenceforth and thereafter
