RESOLUTION NO. 4561 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY TO APPRO-
PRIATE CERTAIN GASOLINE TAX FUNDS 'ro THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA. (c-83)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
\iHEREAS, the 1974-1975 County Budget Appropriation for
"Aid to Cities" (Gasoline Tax) makes available for appropriation
to the City of Santa Monica a total amount of One Hundred Thirty-
Four Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($134,559.00) for the
improvement of City Streets of General County interest; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica is desirous of improving
certain streets on the City's Select System; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica feels that improving
said streets 1s of general County interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL DOES FURTHER RESOLvE
.AJ3 FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles
County be requested to allocate One Hundred Thirty-Four Thousand
Five Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($134,559.00) from the County
"Aid to Citiesn Fund apportioned to the City of Santa Monica during
the 1974-1975 fiscal year~ for the following improvements:
A. Repa:lr and Resurface:
1. Sixth street, Ocean Park Boulevard to Pier Avenue.
2. Ashland Avenue, Fourteenth Street to TWenty-third
Street.
3. Lincoln Boulevard, Wilshire Boulevard to Montana
Avenue.
4. Second Street~ Broadway to Wilshire Boulevard.
5. strand Street, Third Street to Fourth street.
6. Sixth Street, Wilshire Boulevard to Arizona Avenue.

7. Third Street, Montana Avenue to Wilshire Boulevard.
8. Fourteenth street, Ocean Park Boulevard to Ashland
Avenue.
9. Seventeenth street, Santa Monica Boulevard to
Colorado Avenue.
10. Exposition Boulevard, stewart Street to Centinela
Avenue.
11. Broadway, Ocean Avenue to Lincoln Boulevard.
B. Traffic Control Si,gnals:
1. Ocean Avenue at Pico Boulevard (modernization).
2. Main Street at Pico Boulevard (modernization).
3. Neilson Way at Bicknell Avenue (modernization).
4. Eleventh street at Ocean Park Boulevard (modernization).
5. Fourteenth Street at Ocean Park Boulevard (modernization).
6. Eleventh street at Pico Boulevard (modernization).
7. Fifth Street at Colorado Avenue (modernization).
8. Ocean Avenue at Broadway (new).
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. That the City Engineer shall forward a certi-
fied copy of this resolution to the Los Angeles County Road Com-
missioner for processing.
