A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA URGING STATE
SENATOR ANTHONY BEILENSON AND ASSEMBLY-
MAN ALAN B. SIEROTY TO REQUEST THE
ATTORNEY GENERAL TO RESOLVE CERTAIN
QUESTIONS PERTAINING TO THE SANTA
MONICA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, dur~ng the past year the City Counc~l of the
C~ty of Santa Mon~ca and the C~ty of Santa Monica has been aware
of an increasing need for the resolut~on of certa~n ~ssues
pertain~ng to the Santa Mon~ca Mun~c~pal Airport; and,
WHEREAS, th1s Counc~l bel~eves that a deflnltlve
legal analysls of certaln questions can be accomplished by
urging State Senator Anthony Beilenson and Assemblyman Alan B.
Sieroty to request the Attorney General to lssue an oplnlon
concerning certain dlsputed issues pertainlng to the use of the
Santa Monlca Municlpal Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That State Senator Anthony Bellenson
and Assemblyman Alan B. Sleroty are urged to request the Attorney
General to issue an opinlon on the legal questions ~n regard to
use of the Santa Monica Munic~pal Airport.
SECTION 2.
The C~ty Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be ln full force and effect.
