THE COMPROMISE OF CLAIMS FOR THE CITY'S
PUBLIC LIABILITY

WHEREAS, on October 1, 1974, the City of Santa Monica
entered lnto an agreement, belng Contract No. 2138 (CCS) wlth
the Bay Clties Adjustment Company to adJust:
(1) Llabllity
under the Pub11C Llabllity Act of 1923i (2) its 11abl1ity
for the munlclpal bus Ilnesi and (3) its llabllity for lts
automotlve fleet exc1udlng lts munlclpa1 bus 11nes; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authorlty contalned ln
the foregoing contract, the Bay Cities Adjustment Company has
