A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF c;:'HE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUP~qVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES TO PERMIT THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID COUNTY TO
RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICt;S TO THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA,
RELATING TO TffE CONDUCT OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO
:BE HELD ON APRIL 8, 1975.
WHEREAS, a General MunlCipal Electlon is to be held in the City of
Santa Monica, California, and that portion of the Santa Monica Unified School
Distrlct and Santa Monica Community COllege District lying outside the corporate
limits of the Clty of Santa Monica on April 8, 1975; and
WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in relation
thereto it ~ill be necessary to mail sample ballots and polling place inserts
to the registered voters of the City and to those voters in the Santa Monica
Unified School District and Santa Monica Community College District lying
outside the City of Santa Monica, and it wl11 facilitate such mailing if the
Registrar of Voters of the County of Los Angeles will prepare and furnish the
City the imprinting of the names and addresses of the reg~stered voters of
said City and to those voters in those school districts lying outside the
City of Santa Monica, on I.B.H. polling place inserts furnished by the City,
and after bursting the forms will insert the polling place insert and sample
ballot into envelopes, all to be furnished by the City, will place all envelopes
in zipcoded mail bags, advise the City Clerk of the number of pieces to be
mailed, prepare POD Form 3602-PC, "Statement of Mailing Matter With Permit
Imprints", and adVl.se the C1ty Clerk when the work is complete so delivery can
be arranged; and
'HHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service shall be
paid by the City of Santa Monica;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Councl1 of the City of Santa Monlca does
hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 22003 of the
Elections Code of the State of California, this City Council hereby, requests
the Board of Supervisors of said County to permit the Registrar of Voters to
prepare and furnish to said City for use in conducting said election to be
held on April 8, 1975, the imprinting of the names and addresses of the
registered voters of said City and to those voters in the Santa Mon~ca Unified
School District and the Santa Monica Community College District lying outside
the City of Santa Monica, on I.B.M. polling place inserts furnished by the
City and after bursting the forms to insert the pol11ng place insert, sample

ballot, etc. into envelopes, all to be furnished by the City, will place all
envelopes 1n zip-coded mail bags, advise the City Clerk of the number of pieces to

Imprints", and advise the City Clerk when the work is complete so delivery can
be arranged.
SECTION 2. Perform other services directly pertaining to said election
if requested to do so by the City Clerk or by Martin & Chapman Co.
SECTION 3. That said City shall reimburse said County for services
performed when the work is completed and upon presentation to the City of a
properly approved bill.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward without
delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar of Voters, each a cert~f1ed
copy of this resolution.
