S~\TA MO~ICA MUNICIPAL CODE AS IT PERTAIXS TO
THOSE ITE:-lS.
wREREAS, The Clty Llbrary has need of dlspoBlng of certaln
surplus, obsolete, and/or damaged books, periodicals, pamphlets, re-
cordlngs and fllms, and
WHEREAS, to request blds for sale of such llbrary materlals
noted above would be to no avall and would cause unnecessary expense
and delay;
XOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUXCIL OF THE CITY OF S~\TA
MOXICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1,
That the Clty of Santa ~onlca has from tlme to
tlme need to dlspose of surplus, obsolete, or damaged llbrary materlals.
SECTIO~ 2,
That to request blds for sale of sald materlals
would be to no avall and would cause unnecessary expense and delay.
SECTIO:-r J,
The C2ty Manager lS hereby authorlzed to
dlspose of sald materlals on the open market, wlthout blds; or to
otherWlse dlspo5e of the materlals as lS deemed approprlate.
SECTION 4, The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoptlon
of thlS resolutlon and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be In full force and effect.
