A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA RATIFYING THE
COMPROMISE OF CLAIMS FOR THE CITY'S
PUBLIC LIABILITY.
WHEREAS, on October I, 1974, the City of Santa Monica
entered ~nto an agreement, be~ng Contract No. 2138 (CCS) with
the Bay Cities AdJustment Company to adjust: (1) 11ab11ity
under the Public L1ability Act of 1923; (2) 1ts 1~ab~11ty for
the mun1c~pa1 bus lines; and (3) ~ts 11ab~lity for 1ts automotive
fleet exclud~ng ~ts mun1c1pal bus lines; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the author1ty conta1ned in the
foregoing contract, the Bay Cit1es AdJustment Company has
effected settlements ~n the amount shown:

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the settlement of claims in the
amounts heretofore shown is hereby ratified.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be ln full force and effect.
