RESOLUTION NO. 4612 <CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING NEGOTIATION OF
BEACH FOOD CONCESSION AGREEMENTS ON THE OPEN
MARKET, AND WAIVING CALL FOR FORMAL BIDS
WHEREAS, the City has need of food vending service for
users of Santa Monica beaches; and
IfHEREAS, it has heretofore been determined by formal
bidding procedures that, todate, food concessionaires have been
unresponsive to the city's needs; and
WHEREAS, to further advertise for bids for said food
vending services would be to no avail and would cause unnecessary
expense and delay;
Nm.J THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Santa Monica has need of
food vending service for users of Santa Monica beaches.
SECTION 2. That to further advertise for bids for said
food vending service would be to no avail and would cause unnecessary
expense and delay.
SECTION 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
negotiate concession agreements for food vending service on the
open market without further advertising for bids.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS 25 th day of
March
1975.

March . 1975, by the following vote of the Council.
