RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
APPROVING THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR THE HOUSING
AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROPOSAL
WHEREAS, It was necessary to prepare environmental reports for the
projects proposed in the Housing and Community Development Block Grant Applica-
tion; and
WHEREAS, the environmental status of each project was determined and
the applicable draft report prepared; and
WHEREAS, public notification was conducted in a manner providing citj-
~ens adequate opportunity to review and comment on the draft reports; and
WHEREAS, departments and agencies havIng special interest or juris-
diction over the projects reviewed the draft reports; and
WHEREAS, the comments and suggested revJsions were incorporated into
the text of the environmental reports, and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Monica sitting
as the Environmental Quality Review Board approved the revised draft environmental
reports March 21, 1975; and
WHEREAS, the fInal environmental reports include the following documents:
A Final Environmental Impact Report for the overall Community Development proposal;
A Final Exemption Declaration for repair and renovation of the pier;
A Final Exemption Declaration for site preparation for the senior citizen housing
site;
A Categorical Exemption for the City Hall elevator;
A Categorical Exemption for the public restroom modifications,
A Final Exemption Declaration for an administrative and planning capacity.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Final Environmental Impact Report, Exemptions
Declarations and Categorical Exemptions are completed in compliance with the
California Environmental Quality Act, state and city guidel ines.
Section 2. That the City Council has reviewed and considered informa-
tion contained in the Final Environmental Impact Report, Final Exemption Decla-
rations and Categorical Exemptions.

Section 3.
That the City Council determines that the project, the
Housing and Community Development Block Grant Proposal, will not have a substan-
tial adverse impact on the environment.
Section 4. That the City Council designates the City Manager as the
authorized representative of the City of Santa Monica to act In connection with
the application and to provide such additional information as may be req..JIred.
