RESOLUTION NO. 4639 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA RATIFYING
THE COMPROMISE OF CLAIMS FOR THE
CITY'S PUBLIC LIABILITY.
WHEREAS, on October 1, 1974, the Clty of Santa Monlca
entered into an agreement, being Contract No. 2138 (CCS) wlth
the Bay Cltles Adjustment Company to adjust: (I) liabl1ity
under the PubllC Liabillty Act of 1923; {2j lts liability
for the munlcipal bus 11nes; and (3) its liabl1ity for lts
automotlve fleet excluding its munlclpal bus 11nes; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authorlty contalned In the
foregolng contract, the Bay Clties Adjustment Co~pany has
effected settlements In the amount shown:

That the settlement of clalffis In the
amounts heretofore shown lS hereby ratlfled.
SECTION 2.
The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoptlon of thlS resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be ln full force and effect.
