A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING
CERTAIN RATES AND CHARGES FOR WATER
SERVICE SUPPLIED BY THE SANTA MONICA
WATER DIVISION.
WHEREAS, the C~ty Councl1 ~ay establlsh, amend or
reVlse from tlme to time by resolution the rates to be charged
for SupplYlng water 5erVlces to any consumer, pursuant to
Section 7200 of the Santa Monica Munlcipal Code, and,
WHEREAS, the Water Division has conducted a study of
water rates for the purpose of adequately supportlng Water
Dlv~s~on expend~tures; and,
WHEREAS, sald study lndlcates a need for and proposes
a water rate lncrease, and,
WHEREAS, said study proposed a unlform water rate; and,
WHEREAS, the Clty Counc~l flnds that the most deslrous
method of establlshing a water rate structure is by resolutlon.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COm~CIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The bi-monthly rate ~s
SECTION 1.
Water Rate.
hereby established at thlrty-two (.32) cents per one hundred (100)
CUblC feet of water used.
SECTION 2.
Servlce Charge~. In add~t~on to the
water rate established ~n Sectlon I, the followlng bi-monthly
serV1ce charges shall be added, and shall apply at all tlmes
unless the water serVlce is spec~f~cally ordered to be term~nated
by the responslble consumer of record.

SECTION 3.
Monica Water Dlvlsion except as otherwlse provlded ln Artlcle VII,
Chapter 2 of the Santa Monlca Municlpal Code.
SECTION 4.
This resolution shall take effect upon
ltS adoption, or upon ~ts administrat~ve implementat~on, whlchever
last occurs.
SE:'::'lON 5.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoptlon of thls resclution, and tpenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be lD full force and effect.
