A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COillJCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN~A MONICA REQUESTING PE~~ISSION
TO E~1INE THE SALES AND USE TAX ~CO~DS OF
THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION.
WHEREAS, Sectlon 7056 of the Revenue and Taxatlon Code
of the State of Callforn1a provldes for the exanlnatlon of all
of the sales and use tax records of the Board of Egualizatlon
pertaining to sales and use taxes collected fron the C1ty of
Santa Monica by the Board pursuant to contract entered into
between the Board and the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COill1CIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLvE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the City Manager and/or the
F1nance DLrector-Clty Controller be and he~eby are permltted
to exa~lne such records for and on behalf of the Clty of Santa
r~nlca, and said Clty Manager and Finance Dlrector-Con~roller
are each of them hereby authorlzed to make such exa~inatlon on
behalf of the Clty.
SECTION 2.
Resolution No. 2888 (CCS) is hereby
repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of th1S resolution, and thenceforth and therea~ter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
