A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY KNOWN AS
TWENTIETH COURT BE'IWEEN SANTA MONICA BOULE-
VARD AND ARIZONA AVENUE, AND THE ABANDONMENT
OF A CERTAIN EASEMENT LYING BETWEEN T\>lEN-
TIETH COURT AND TWENTIETH STREET, ALL IN
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa
Monica having heard the evidence offered in relation to the proposed
vacation of that certain alley known as Twentieth Court between
Santa Monica Boulevard and Arizona Avenue., as shown on the map of
To~m of Santa Monica, in the City of Santa Monica, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, recorded in Book 39, Pages 45-51 of
Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the Recorder of said County,
and in relation to the proposed abandonment of an easement between
Twentieth Court and Twentieth Street, as accepted in Resolution
adopted September 3, 1929, hereby finds from all of the evidence
submitted that the alley and the easement above referred to and
proposed to be vacated and abandoned by Resolution No. 4643 (City
Council Series) is unnecessary for present or prospective street
purposes. For full particulars reference hereby is made to said
Resolution No. 4643 (City Council Series) and to Map No. 4216 on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; which map is
entitled, '~lley in the Town of Santa Monica Tract, Block 129, to
be vacated together with ease~ent in the Town of Santa Monica Tract,
Block 129, to be abandoned under the Street Vacation Act of 1941",
dated June 11, 1975.
The City Council of the City of Santa Monica, in vaca-
ting said portion of said Twentieth Court and abandoning said
easement is dependent on relocating the sanitary sewer and water
facilities and appurtenant structures now located therein.

It therefore is ordered that said portion of said alley
be and the same hereby is vacated~ and said easement be and the
same hereby is abandoned,; but at such time that the Orchard Tract
property on the northeasterly side of the alley is separated from
common ownership with the Town of Santa Monica property on the
southwesterly side of the alley~ this alley shall become a public
way.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and the same shall be in full force and effect
on and after
, 1975. The City Clerk shall also cause
a copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the
County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
