A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA CLOSING MAIN STREET
BET~VEEN PIER AVENUE AND OCEAN PARK BOULEVARD
BETWEEN 6 A.M. AND 9 P.M. ON SUNDAY, AUGUST
24, 1975.
WHEREAS, 1t lS proposed by Grand Amerlcan Fare, Inc.
that sales and exhibltions be conducted out of doors In the area
of Maln Street between Pler Avenue and Ocean Park Boulevard on
Sunday, August 24, 1975; and,
WHEREAS, such sales and exhibitions are in the public
lnterest, and for the beneflt of the City of Santa Monica; and,
lV'HEREAS, the closing of Maln Street to vehlcular
trafflC between Pier Avenue and Ocean Park Boulevard 15 necessary
for the safety and protect1on of persons particlpatlng In and
attending said exhibltions and sales.
~OW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the closing of Ma1n Street between
Pler Avenue and Ocean Park Boulevard on August 24, 1975, between
the hours of 6 A.M. and 9 P.~1. lS necessary for ~he safety and
protectlon of persons partlclpating In and attendlng the sales
and exhibitions to be held thereat.
SECTION 2.
That Maln Street, in the Clty of Santa
Monlca, shall be barrlcaded and closed to vehicular traffic
between the hours of 6 o'clock A.M. and 9 o'clock P.M. on
August 24, 1975.
