A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING
THE CITY ~~~AGER TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
FOR A GRANT OF FUNDS PURSUk~T TO THE
CRIME CONTROL ACT OF 1973.
WHEREAS, the Clty of Santa Monica deslres to undertake
a certaln proJect deslgnated League of Cal1fornia Cltles Plannlng
and Technlcal Asslstance Unlt to be funded in part from funds made
avallable ~ursuant to the Crime Control Act of 1973, PL 93-83,
admlnlstered by the Offlce of Crlmlnal Justice Plannlng (here-
after referred to as OCJP) for the California Councll on Crlmlnal
Justlce.
NON, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the Clty Hanager of the Clty of
Santa Monica be and lS hereby authorlzed, on lts behalf, to
submlt the attached applicatlon for grant for law enforcement
purposes to OCJP and lS authorlzed to execute on behalf of the
City of Santa Monlca the attached grant aWArd for law enforcement
purposes lncludlng any extenslons or amendments thereof.
SECTION 2.
That the appllcant agrees to provide
all matchlng funds requlred for sald proJect (lncludlng any
extenslon or amendment thereof) under the Crine Control Ac~ and
the rules and regulatlons of OCJP and the Law Enforcement
ASSlstanee Admlnistratlon (LEAA) and that cash wlll be approprlated
as required thereby.
SECTION 3.
That grant funds reeelved uereunder shall
not be used to supplant on-go1ng law enforcement expendltures.
SECTION 4.
The Clt- Clerk shall certify to the
