A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COL~CIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA HONICA APPROVING AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY Mk~AGER TO EXECUTE
AN AGREEMENT FOR CONTRACT SERVICES WITH
THE OCEAN PARK COHMUNITY CENTER.
WHEREAS, the Ocean Park Commun1ty Center prov~des ald
for the City's farnllles livlng below poverty levels, disadvantaged
chlldren, for educatlonal programs, for referral serVlces for those
cltizens who need legal or psychlatr1c ass~stance, lnformatlon
about hous1ng, employment and drug counseling. and for ch~ldren's
day camp and after school programs; and,
WHEREAS. the C1ty cannot prov1de these services without
substant1al expenditures: and,
WHEREAS, the Ocean Park Commun~ty Center 15 organlzed
to prov1de these serVlces w1thout regard to race, rel1g1on or
creed to the res1dents of Santa Monica, and can provide these
serV1ce5 at a considerable savings to the C1ty.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the contract between the Clty of
Santa Mon1ca and the Ocean Park Communlty Center for the provld1ng
of serVlces by sald Center and the fundlng of such serV1ces by the
C1ty be and is hereby approved and the City rlanager 15 authorlzed
to execute sald contract on behalf of the Clty of Santa Monlca.
SECTION 2.
The Clty Clerk shall certify to the
adoptlon of this resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and ef~ect.

Contract Agreement For 1975-1976 By and Between
the C~ty of Santa Mon~ca and the Ocean Park
Commun~ty Center
INTRODUCTION:
This report transm~ts the proposed contract agreement
between the C~ty and the above group for fiscal year 1975-76.
BACKGROUND:
The Counc~l ~n ~ts budget deliberat~ons this year included
funds for the above organ~zat~on. A contract agreement has been
prepared to reflect the amount budgeted and the services to be
provlded for thlS expendlture, In the s~ of $12,900.00.
The contract agreement provldes for the right of the
City to audlt the organizat~on's records.

Not applicable.
RECOMMENDATION:
It ~s recommended that the Clty Counc~l adopt the
attached resolut~on authorlzlng the City Manager to execute thlS
agreement.
