RESOLUTION NO. 4670

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA DESIGNATING AUGUST
22 - SEPTEHBER 1, 1975 AS THE FOURTEENTH
ANNUAL SPORTS AND ARTS FESTIVAL.
WHEREAS, the Fourteenth Annual Santa Mon1ca Sports and
Arts Festival wlth the motto, "Somethlng For Everyone", wlll be
held August 22 through September 1, 1975; and,
mIEREAS, this exc1tlng and colorful event Whlch 1S
sponsored each year by the Recreation and Parks Department of
our City offers more than fifty events rang1ng from Art Shows,
State and National Sporting Championshlps, Aquatlcs, and Dance
and Music Festivals that provlde actlvitles to lnterest all
citlzens of Santa Monlca; and,
WHEREAS, the Sports and Arts Festival 15 a f1tt1ng
culmination to the many and varied activ1t1es offered to our
citizens throughout the year by the Recreatlon and Parks
Department.
NON, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLO~S:
SECTION 1.
That the period of August 22 through
September 1, 1975, be and is hereby designated and proclaimed
as the Fourteenth Annual Sports and Arts Festlval in Santa Monlca.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoption of thlS resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
