RESOLUTION NO. 4671 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE VACATION
OF A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY KNOWN
AS EIGHTEENTH COURT IN THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA, CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of
Santa Monica having heard the evidence offered in relation to
the proposed vacation or that portion of the alley known as
Eighteenth Court, 10 feet wide, between Pico Boulevard and
Pico Place South, as shown on map of Tract No. 12543,
recorded in Book 253, page 49 of Maps, in the office of the
Recorder of Los Angeles County, hereby finds from all of the
evidence submitted that the portion of the court above
referred to and proposed to be vacated by Resolution No. 4661
(City Council Series) is unnecessary for present or prospective
street purposes. For full particulars reference hereby is made
to said Resolution No. 4661 (City Council Series) and to Map
No. 4218 on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City;
which map is entitled, "Map Showing Portion of Eighteenth Court
to be Vacated Under the Provisions of the Street vacation Act
of 1941", dated July 9, 1975.
The City Council of the City of Santa Monica, in
vacating said portion of Eighteenth Court, reserves and excepts
from said vacation an easement of full width over the full
length of said portion of said alley intended to be vacated, for
the purpose of constructing, maintaining, operating, replacing,
removing and renewing all sanitary sewers, storm drains, water
mains and other public utility facilities and appurtenant
structures.

It therefore is ordered that said portion of said
court be and the same hereby is vacated.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and the same shall be in full
force and effect on and after August 26
, 1975.
The City Clerk shall also cause a copy of this resolution to
be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County
of Los Angeles.
