RESOLUTION NO. 4676 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR CON-
TRACT SERVICES WITH FAMILY SERVICE OF SANTA
MONICA.
WHEREAS, Family Service of Santa Mon~ca provides ass~s-
tance to the community by worklng w~th the Juven~le Bureau of
the Santa Monica Police Department, by aiding Santa Mon~ca resldents
ln the procuring of food, lodging, transportation, and medical
attentlon, by provlding parent effectiveness tralning, lnfant
and mothers sem~nars, single parent programs and other human ser-
vice programs, ass~sting famil~es and children referred to it by
other community agencies, assisting the senior citlzens of Santa
Monica, and assisting children and treir families in connection
wlth communit} schools: and,
WHEREAS, the City cannot provide these services without
substantial expend1tures.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the contract between the City of Santa
Man~ca and Family SerVlce of Santa Monica for the provlding of
services by said Family Service of Santa Mon~ca and the funding of
such services by the Clty be and is hereby approved and the C1ty
Manager 1S authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the
City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoptlon
of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter, the same shall
be ~n full force and effect.
