A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA URGING A NO
VOTE ON ASSEMBLY BILLS 301 AND 700.
WHEREAS, the City Council, at 1tS regular meet1ng of
August 26, 1975, has considered the 1rnport and effect of Assembly
Bills 301 and 700; and,
HHEREAS, the State Leg1slature 1S currently cons1der1ng
whether or not to adopt said Assembly Bills; and,
WHEREAS, the adoption of said Assembly Bills would
have a deleter10US effect upon the cit1zens and the C1ty of
Santa lo1on1ca.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the Leg1slature of the State of
Cal1fornia is urged to vote no on Assembly Bills 301 and 700
and not to adopt the same.
SECTION 2.
The C1ty Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of thlS resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 26th day of August
1975.
