RESOLUTION NO. 4679 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS
WATER DIVISION MATERIAL AND WAIVING THE CALL FOR
FORMAL BIDS
WHEREAS, the Water Division of the City of Santa Monica
has certain lots of zinc anodes and water pipe no longer required
for the Division's operations; and
WHEREAS, the City has requested bids formally from twenty
(20) potential purchasers of this material without effect; and
WHEREAS, to further advertise for formal bids for this
material would be to no avail and would cause unnecessary expense
and delay.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COTINC 11 OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is authorized to sell
certain lots of zinc anodes and water pipe on the open market
without calling for formal bids.
SECTION 2. That the City Council finds that the sale
of these items is in the best interests of the City and that to
further advertise formally for bids would be to no avail and would
cause unnecessary expense and delay.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 10th day of September 1975.
