RESOLUTION NO. 4685 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA RATIFYING
THE COMPROMISE OF CLAIMS FOR THE
CITY'S PUBLIC LIABILITY.
WHEREAS, on October 1, 1974, the City of Santa Monica
entered into an agreement, being Control No. 2138 (CCS) wlth
the Bay Clties Adjustment Company to adjust: (1) llabllity
under the Public Liabllity Act of 1923;
(2) its llability for
the munlclpal bus IlneSj and (3) its liabillty for lts
automotlve fleet excluding its municlpal bus lines; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority contalned ln the
foregoing contract, the Bay Citles Adjustment Cowpany has
effected settlements in the amount shown:

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the settlement of claims in the
amounts heretofore shown lS hereby ratified.
SECTION 2.
That C~ty Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoptlon of thls resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 23rd day of September
