RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA CONSENTING TO JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
PROPOSED SANTA MONICA DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT,
AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A DATE THEREFOR AND
PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Monica by
Resolution consented to a joint public hearing on the proposed Redevelop-
ment Plan for the Downtown Redevelopment Project and has requested that the
City Council of the City of Santa Monica consent to such joint publ ic
hearing and authorize the City Clerk to establish a date therefor; and
WHEREAS, the consent of the Redevelopment Agency and of the City
Council is required by the California Community Redevelopment Law in order
to conduct a joint public hearing on the proposed Redevelopment Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT:
1. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica hereby consents
to a joint publ ic hearing on the proposed Redevelopment Plan for the Down-
town Redevelopment Project and authorizes the Clerk of the City of Santa
Monica to establish a date therefor.
2. The City Clerk shall, in cooperation WIth the Executive Director
of the Redevelopment Agency, publish and mail a notice of pub] IC hearing on
the proposed Redevelopment Plan at the time, in the manner, and with the
other documents as required and established by law.
