A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT,
EXTENDING THE EASEMENT-AGREEMENT
WITH THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANS-
PORTATION COMPANY IN CONNECTION
WITH THE EXTENSION OF STEWART STREET.
WHEREAS, the c~ty Council o~ the City of Santa Monica,
on September 11, 1973, entered into an Easement-Agreement, being
Contract No. 2080 (City Council Series), approved by Resolution
No. 4418 (City Council Series), with the Southern Paci~ic
Company, a corporation, which agreement relates to certain ease-
ments to the City of Santa Monica and the performance of certain
track work by the Southern Paci~ic Company in connection with
the extension o~ Stewart Street; and
WHEREAS, the Supplement to the Eas@rnent Agreement
expired on September 11, 1975 unless construction started prior
to said date; and
WHEREAS, due to delays in right-o~-way acquisition
the project is not yet ready for construction; and
WHEREAS, Southern Paci~:ic Transportation Company
(~ormerly Southern Pacific COmpany) ~s willing to extend said
agreement upon the request of the City, and has submitted a
Supplemental Agreement providing for such extension ~or two
years.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That certain Supplemental Agreement by
and between the City o~ Santa Monica, a municipal corporat!on,
and the Southern Paci~ic Transportation Company (formerly
Southern Pac~~ic Company) a corporat~on, which extends the time

limit of the above mentioned Easement-Agreement from September
11, 1975 to September 11, 1977,hereby is approved.
SECTION 2. The City Manager of the City of Santa
Monica be, and he hereby is, authorized and instructed to
execute said agreement.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certif'y to the adop-
tion of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
