A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING TERMS OF
A BEACH UMBRELLA AND EQUIPMENT RENTAL
CONCESSION AGRE~IENT AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID AGHRRMENT
WHEREAS. the City Council of the eity of Santa Monica
directed. per Resolution No. 4651 (eCS). the City Manager to
negotiate concession agreements for beach umbrella and equipment
rental serv~ce at 1550 Ocean Front, 2600 Promenade, 2400 Promen-
ade and 930 Pacific Coast Highway on the open market; and
WHEREAS. the City Manager has reached agreement with
Bessie Forcade. William Forcade and Shirley Forcade Young for the
operation of said concessions under terms advantageous to the
City; and
WHEREAS, to negotiate further for said beach umbrella
and equipment rental services would be to no avail and would
cause unnecessary expense and delay;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That to further negotiate agreement for
beach umbrella and equipment rental service at 1550 Ocean Front,
2600 Promenade. 2400 Promenade. 1100 and 1)00 Promenade. and 930
Pacific Coast Highway would be to no avail and would cause un~
necessary expense and delay.
SECTION 2. That terms of the agreement negotiated
by the City Manager with Bessie Forcade, William Forcade and
Shirley Forcade are considered advantageous to the City and
are approved as such.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is authorized to
execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Santa Monica.

SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
