A RESOLUTION OF TfJE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASE OF RESALABLE ITEMS FOR
'I'lOODLAWN CENETERY AND MAUSOLEUM ON
THE OPEN MARKET AND \.vAIVING THE CALL
FOR BIDS.
WHEREAS, it is deemed advantageous to the Citylg
econoNic interest to purchase resalable items for Woodlawn
Cemetery and Mausoleu,'tl on the open market; and
WHEREAS, the City deems this procedure necessary
in order to control uniformity, quality and prompt service;
and
vlliEREAS, to advertise for bids for such items and
services would cause unnecessary expense and delay.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Director of Public Works is
authorized to purchase resale items and services on the open
market for Woodlawn cemetery and Mausoleum without calling for
formal bids.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adop-
tion of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
