A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA WAVING
BIDS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
~urnAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
FOR THE PURCHASE OF A HARLEY DAVID-
SON 3 WHEEL MOTORCYCLE FOR THE
SANTA MONICA POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, THE CITY OF SiliVTA MONICA des~re to purchase
new replacement Harley Dav~dson 3 Wheel Motorcycles; and,
WHEREAS, Harley Dav~dson no longer manufacturers
such a motorcycle; and,
WHEREAS, no other manufacturer produces a 3 wheel
motorcycle; and,
WHEREAS, the firm of Budelier Harley Dav~dson of
Los Angeles has available for immed~ate sale a new 3 wheel
motorcycle by Harley Davidson; and,
WHEREAS, no other motorcycle f~rm has such a
motorcycle for sale.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That sa~d motorcycle may be purchased
~n the open market.
Sect~on 2. That to advertise for bids would be
to no ava~l and would cause unnecessary expense and delay.
Sect~on 3. That the purchas1ng agent of the
C1ty of Santa Mon1ca be and ~s hereby d~rected to purchase
said new Harley Dav~dson 3 Wheel Police Motorcycle on the
open market and from Bude11er Harley Dav1dson.

Sectlon 4. The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoptlon of thlS resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be ln full force and effect.
