RESOLUTION NO. 4737(CCS) (CITY COUNCIL SERIES) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MON~CA ESTABLISHING (A) SEWER SERVICE CHARGE: (B) AVERAGE SEWAGE DISCHARGES FOR VARIOUS TYPES OF USERS: AND (C) INDUSTRIAL WASTE QUALITY SURCHARGE FACTORS. WHEREAS, on thlS date, the Clty of Santa Monlca has adopted by regular Ordlnance Number lO~O (City Councll Serles), sald ordlnance addlng Sectlons 7143A through 7143E, lnclusive, to Article VII of the Santa Monica HUlllclpal Code WhlCh provlde for the approval of the Sewer Servlce Charge; and, ~VHEREAS, the Dlrector of Public Works has recommended the establishment of a sewer serVlce charge of 24 ($0.24) cents per hundred cubic feet of sewage dlscharged lntO the City's sewage system; and, WHEREAS, the Director of PubllC Works has recommended that the average sewage flow dlscharged to the Clty'S sewage system for the various types of users be establlshed in percentages of water consumed, as follows: Ty~e of User Average Sewage Dlscharged ln Percent of Water Dellvered Throu9h W.ater Meter Slngle Unlt Resldence Two Unlt Resldence Three Unlt ReSldence Four Unlt Resldence Over Four Unlt Resldence All Other Users 50% 68% 76% 85% 90% 100% and, WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that an Industrial Waste Quality Surcharge be established by adopting surcharge factors for varlOUS lndustrles as shown ln the followlng tabulatlon, whlch Surcharge Factors, when multlplled by the daily average sewage ln gallons, shall yield the annual fees ln dollars for quallty surcharge. -1- . !ndu~try or Waste Process Air Condo & Refrig. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the Sewer Service charge, the Industrial Waste Quality Surcharge, and the Average Sewage Discharge in the amounts heretofore shown is hereby ratified. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adop- tion of this resolution and thirty (30) days thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. ADOPTED and APPROVED this 13 th day of April , 1976.
