THE COMPROMISE OF CLAIMS FOR THE
CITY'S PUBLIC LIABILITY - CHECKS

WHEREAS, on Octcber 1, 1974, the Clty of Santa Monlca
entered lnto an agreement, belng Control No. 2138 (CCS) wlth
the Bay Citles AdJustment Company to adJust: (1) llabll1ty
under the PubllC Llab111ty Act of 1923; (2) lts llabl1lty for
the munlcipa1 bus Ilnes; and (3) lts 1labl1ity for lts auto-
motlve fleet excludlng lts munlcipal bus lines; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority contalned ln the
foregolng contract, the Bay Cltles AdJustment Company has
effected settlements ln the amount shown:

SECTION 2. That Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoptlon of th~s resolut~on, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be ~n full force and effect.
