RESOLUTION NO. 4756 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING
THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH THE
CALIFORNIA OFFICE ON AGING FOR A
NUTRITION PROGRAM FOR THE ELDERLY
UNDER TITLE VI I OF THE OLDER AMERICANS
ACT OF 1965, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, tne City of Santa Monica has been invited to submit an
appl ication for a nutrition program for the elderly by the California Office
on Aging; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica is eligible to receive funds
under the Older Americans Act for the estabJ ishment of a nutrition program
for the elderly.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the City Manager IS hereby authorized to file an
application and to execute any contracts related thereto, on behalf of the
City of Santa Monica with the Cal ifornia Office on Aging for Ninety Thousand
($90,000) Dollars to be used for a nutrition program for the elderly and located
at three (3) City park sites.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of thiS
resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
