RESOLUTION NO. 4761 (CCS)
(Clty Council Series)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT
AND USE OF ONE OR MORE DEPOSIT
ACCOUNTS WITH CERTAIN BANKING
INSTITUTIONS, AND AUTHORIZING
CERTAIN DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVES
OF THE CITY TO DRAW DRAFTS ON
SUCH ACCOUNTS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Santa Monica, a mUnlClpal
corporation, establlshes ln ltS name, or ln lts name together
wlth the name of Brown Brothers AdJusters, one or
more trust deposit accounts wlth the Securlty Paclflc National
Bank, or such other bank as may be deslgnated by the Dlrector
of Flnance-Clty Controller from time to tlme.
SECTION 2. That Robert H. Nash, Dlrector of Finance-
Clty Controller, and Kay Watanabe, City Treasurer, be and they
are hereby authorized to wlthdraw funds from said accounts upon
warrants and/or checks signed as pravlded hereln wlth signatures
duly certified to said bank or banks by the Clty Clerk of the
City of Santa Monlca, and said banks are hereby authorized to
honor and pay all warrants and/or checks so slgned, lncludlng
those drawn to the lndivldual order of any offlcer or other
person authorlzed to sign the same, and also inCluding those
drawn to the lndividual order of any employee of the City of
Santa Monlca.
SECTION 3. That Brown Brothers AdJusters,
by and through Ginger Hylich, Robert Wllls or Larry K. Fltzpatr~ck

be and they hereby are author~zed to withdraw from sald account
or accounts upon checks s~gned by them on their behalf and on
behalf of the City of Santa Monica, lnclud~ng those drawn to
the indlvldual order of any employee of the City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 4. That the sald banklng institutions,
including thelr correspondent banks shall be entitled to honor
and charge the said trust account, or trust accounts, for all
such checks, drafts or other orders for the payment of money
when such checks, drafts or other orders are slgned as provlded
hereln.
SECTION 5. The Clty Clerk shall certify to the
adoptlon of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
