A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY ~1ANAGER TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR CONTRACT
SERVICES WITH THE SANTA MONICA
BAY AREA DRUG ABUSE COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, Santa Monlca Bay Area Drug Abuse Councll
1S a non-profit organlzatlon Wh1Ch provldes drug therapy
and counseling to Santa Monica resldents; and,
WHEREAS, the City cannot provide these services
without substantial expenditures; and,
WHEREAS, drug therapy serVlces are a great beneflt
to the Clty of Santa Monlca.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the contract between the Clty of
Santa Monlca and the Santa Monica Bay Area Drug Abuse Council
for the provlding of serVlces by said Santa Monlca Bay Area
Drug Abuse CounCll and the fund1ng of such serV1ces by the
City be, and lS hereby approved, and the City Manager lS
authorized to execute sald contract on behalf of the City of
Santa Monica.
SECTION 2. That City Clerk shall certify to the
adoptlon of thlS resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be 1n full force and effect.
